Sponsorship Packages
Support Harvard’s Korean community. Every sponsorship comes with recognition, and you decide where your gift goes.
About HKA
The Harvard Korean Association (HKA) is a community for Korean and Korean-American students at Harvard, and for anyone who wants to connect with Korean culture. HKA gives students a place to find friends, celebrate their culture, and support one another through Sib Fam, social events, the Culture Show, education and policy programming, and career events like our career reception.
These events cost money, and funding them has become a real challenge. We don’t want finances to be the reason HKA can’t host gatherings, or the reason a student can’t take part.
That’s why we’re creating this alumni and sponsor giving program. Alumni, parents, companies, and friends of HKA can support the community through a sponsorship, a product donation, or a gift to a specific part of HKA. In return, supporters receive recognition and updates on what their gift made possible.

Individual donors
Alumni, parents, and friends can give at any amount. Recognition is optional. Donors can also choose to give anonymously.
Choose where your gift goes
Your package sets your benefits. A designation is optional and decides where the money is used. You can put it all in one fund, split it, or leave it open for the board to use where it’s needed most. Giving to a specific fund also earns you recognition in that area.
Culture Show
Our biggest production of the year: venue, sound and lighting, costumes, sets, rehearsal space, and meals for performers and crew.
Social Life
Member nights, holiday celebrations, game nights, retreats, and welcome events.
Sib Fam
Our sibling family program, which pairs new members with upperclassmen into “families.” Funds family dinners, bonding events, and the end-of-semester family showdowns.
Education and Policy
Speakers, panels, and discussions on Korean history, politics, US-Korea relations, and Korean-American issues.
Board and Operations
Leadership training, transition, software, supplies, and the everyday costs of running the organization.
Access Fund
Makes sure cost never keeps a member out. Covers dues and event fees for students who need help, handled confidentially.
Mentorship and Alumni
Our annual career reception, career panels, mentor matching, and alumni networking events that connect students with Korean and Korean-American professionals.
Media and Publications
Newsletter, photography, video, and design.
Where it’s needed most
Unrestricted. The board directs it to the biggest need.
Edit these funds to match your real committees. Add Service, Sports, Dance, or anything else you run.
How it works
- Pick a package. It sets your benefits.
- Pick a designation (optional). Put 100% in one fund or split by percentage. Anything unassigned goes to “where it’s needed most.”
- Sign a short agreement. It lists the package, amount, designation, and what recognition you get, so everyone has the same record.
- Send your gift by the payment method and deadline below.
- We track it. Our treasurer logs designated gifts separately and spends them only on that fund.
- If something changes, like an over-funded line or a canceled event, we ask before moving your money.
- You get a report after the Culture Show and again at year’s end, with photos and numbers.
Plan your gift
Donate products and services
Not every gift has to be cash. Brands and businesses can donate products or services for our events and members. We use them as giveaways, raffle prizes, gift bags, and event supplies, and you get in front of Harvard students who will actually try them.

What you get for in-kind gifts
We credit in-kind gifts at fair retail value, the same way we credit cash:
| Value of your donation | Recognition level |
|---|---|
| $250 to $749 | Bronze |
| $750 to $1,499 | Silver |
| $1,500 to $2,999 | Gold |
| $3,000+ | Crimson Presenting |
Product donors also get extras that cash donors don’t:
- Your product in the Culture Show gift bags, or featured on the raffle table
- A “giveaway sponsored by” post on Instagram, with your product in the photo
- A member product review or unboxing post, if you’d like one
- A discount code or link shared in the newsletter, so you can track what we send you
How to donate products
- Tell us what you’d like to give and roughly how many. Email chrissyjung@college.harvard.edu.
- We confirm what we can use and which event it fits.
- Ship or drop it off to Chrissy Jung, 10 Cowperthwaite Street, Cambridge, MA 02138, at least 2 weeks before the event.
- Send us your logo and a short product blurb. We’ll write the shoutout.
- We send a thank-you and a recap after the event, with photos and how many students received your product.
For skincare and food: please include ingredient or allergen lists, and check expiration dates. We’ll only hand out products that are labeled and sealed. We may decline items we can’t safely or legally give out, and we can’t promise a particular product reaches a particular student.
Fund a specific expense
Prefer to cover something concrete with a cash gift? Pick an expense below and your name goes on it. Item sponsorships count toward your package level, so a $750 item makes you a Silver sponsor, and you can combine several items or add them to a package.
Prices are illustrative. Replace them with your real quotes and budget lines, and delete anything you can’t offer.

Have another idea, like gift bags, a performer, or a catered dinner? Tell us what you’d like to cover and we’ll set up a custom item. Each item can have only one sponsor, so claim yours early: chrissyjung@college.harvard.edu
Payment and details
Please include your name and “HKA Sponsorship” in the payment note, plus your package or fund (for example, “HKA Gold, Sib Fam”). After paying, fill out the Give now form so we can match your payment and send your recognition details.
